convert from rational to fraction is my biggest problem. Can some one assist me understand it? I am a beginner at it. What book or other resource do you suggest for beginning this subject?
Although I understand what your problem is, but if you could explain in greater detail the areas in which you are facing difficulty , then I might be in a better position to guide you. Anyhow I have a suggestion for you, try Algebrator. It can solve a wide variety of questions, and it can do so within minutes. And there’s more to come, it also gives a detailed step-by-step description of how it arrived at a particular solution . That way you don’t just find a solution to your problem but also get to understand how to go about solving it. I found this software to be particularly useful for solving questions on convert from rational to fraction. But that’s just my experience, I’m sure it’ll be good for other topics as well.

Thanks for the pointer. Algebrator is quite a pretty good math software. I was able to get answers to queries I had about solving a triangle, quadratic inequalities and difference of cubes. You only need to type in a problem, click on Solve and you get the all the solutions you need. You can use it for so many , like Algebra 1, College Algebra and Remedial Algebra. I think everyone should use Algebrator.
